Which one
- Lowest cost, smallest counter: Bambino, plus a grinder like the Encore ESP ($199.95).
- Lattes without learning to steam: Bambino Plus plus a grinder.
- One box, and you want to learn: Barista Express. Choose the Impress if tamping worries you.
- Grinder and automatic milk in one: Barista Touch.
- As little skill as possible: Barista Touch Impress, or the Oracle Jet if budget allows.
Two things to check
- Warranty: the Bambino and Barista Express come with 1 year; the others with 2.
- Grinder: the two Bambinos have none. Budget about $200 for one; see best espresso grinder.
